    After almost 2 years of blogging I think most of the questions have been answered by now. Just use the “search” function in this blog to search for the answer you want. If you want to ask about the diy process describe in my recipe book. Please feel free to post it here. You can also read some of the comments [here] & [here].

    Anyway, a quick answer to you question is after fermentation process, most of the sugar has been “used up” by the fermentation process. The sugar content in any of your fruit juice will be much higher than 30ml of enzyme syrup.

    I was told Popular in SG does not have it at the moment.
    You need to get someone in JB to help out or else the EMS alone will cause you RM22.00.

    So sorry I really have no idea where to buy in Muar. Maybe you can look for it at the small road side book stall rather than Big book shop in the mall.
    Anyway I will have some stock coming in next week, you can buy from me, I will send it directly to your door step save your time, petrol & parking fee.

    I bought your book at Popular-1 utama, without realizing you are the author, and have a really pleasant surprise. I also bought another enzyme book costing rm 38 which turned out to be a dude!
    In your book, you recommend 4 weeks b4 we harvest, but on the blog you suggest 2-3 weeks of keeping, so is there any significant differences?
    I find the alcohol influence to be quite strong, does keeping it longer like 3 months old, to help convert the alcohol into more enzyme?

    No comment on other’s book , some of those books are written by pro, mine is just a simple step-by-step recipes for newbies. Hopefully anyone who doesn’t know anything about enzyme can pick up the skill easily, that’s the whole point of writing the recipes.

    It is better to wait 4 weeks (nothing to loose) so that the sugar is fully consume by the bacteria, although it may taste better in 2-3 weeks time but the sugar content is still high. Anyway, alcohol will not go away easily under a close lid bottle, so we have to live with it or use other type of sugar which I do not want to recommend here. Exposing the enzyme mixture in open air before drinking may help.

    I think perseverance is more important than innovation when making/consuming enzyme syrup as a health supplement.

    Unfortunately, according to the publisher, no distributor in Singapore at the moment.
    If you want, I need to send it to a friend who travel to work in Singapore, then you can pick up from her. Let me know if you want to do it.
    Need to add S$2 a copy for postage to JB.
    I can only do it once, “paisei” disturbing my friend.

  11. 最近开始爱上做酵素。在新加坡的popular看到Thomas的书,二话不说就马上买下。新加坡卖S$13.91一本。来到Thomas的blog才发现只要RM18加邮费!@.@真的后悔没有早点认识Thomas!(>.<)不过还是帮朋友订购了10本。

    You can replace with honey but there will be lot of honey ($$$) there. Besides how confident are you that the honey is genuine ?
    I prefer natural ingredient so I have never use oligo before, I am not sure if you can replace my recipe with oligo, but if you do it, the oligo seller will laughing all the way to the bank, that I am very sure.

    哗!值得值得,三十二道酵素作法,图文并茂,中英对照,还有许多实用的贴士和细节,只要照着食谱做,即使是新手相信也没有问题的,这个售价真是物超所值。

    p/s : enzymo君全家的容颜如此好看是不是因为长期喝酵素的关系呢 🙂

  21. Hi Enzymo, I bought your book from JB early September. Thanks for sharing it. I tried one recipe on 7 Sept which was slightly different from the book which I used 600g pineapple, 400g korean pear, 2 lemons and 650-700g brown sugar. I dunno whether ratio correct or not but it’s amazing! It just took a night turned the brown sugar to liquid.. and many bubbles on the top layer. After a week, my husband open the lid to release the gas. After that incident, I didn’t see anymore bubble. I saw some gas whenever i shaked the glass bottle. Is my enzyme successful? If yes, when is the harvest time? I heard some feedbacks, to peel off the lemon skin so that the enzyme will taste better (not bitter). Is that workable?

    Yes, you enzyme is fermenting successfully, you can harvest after 4 weeks.
    If you must have enzyme that has no bitter taste at all, then yes you can peel off the lemon skin.
    For me I normally include the skin, adding the skin may cause bitterness but skin has difference nutrients. It is all up to you to use or not to use.

  25. 我之前卖了一本酵你酿健康,我妹妹看了很喜欢,就让给她了,我再到书局找,每一间的老板都告诉我已卖完了,我也酿了几种酵素,老公都说好,但我的书本已没了,我想再买,我还可以在那里买的到。

  27. 我是住在彭亨直凉,KL我很少去, 所以我很失望咯, 就是这样才要你们帮帮忙,看可以邮寄给我吗? 钱方面我可以Bank In .或是还有其他方法付款. 我妹妹把我的书带回去后,她家种有桔子而且又有很多果,她就酿了桔子酵素,他们夫妇俩很开心,天天都对着那瓶酵素看.她问杨桃可以做酵素吗?因为书本没有,还可以加其他的水果吗?

    其实生的食物,不管是蔬菜,水果还是肉类 。。。 都含有大量的酵素 。。。 不过一旦加热 。。。 酵素就会“死”掉 。。。
    所以你要制造酵素 。。。 什么蔬果都可以用 。。。 只是作出来的酵素口感合不合你的口味罢了 。。。
    这些经验可以慢慢累积 。。。 日子久了 。。。 你就很容易 mix and match 了。。。 给一点耐心自己呗 。。。
